FAQ Ski & Snowboard Lesson & Mountain Guiding
TRUE NISEKO's Story
Whether you’re joining us for your very first ski lesson or planning a guided powder adventure, here are answers to the questions we receive most often. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to contact our team, we’re always happy to help.
Programs
What programs do you offer?
We offer premium Private Ski Lessons, Private Snowboard Lessons, Mountain Guiding, and Professional Photography experiences.
Whether you’re learning for the first time, improving your technique, exploring Niseko’s famous powder, or simply wanting incredible memories of your holiday, we have a program designed for you.
What’s the difference between a lesson and mountain guiding?
Private lessons focus on improving your skiing or snowboarding through personalised coaching.
Mountain Guiding is designed for experienced skiers and riders who want to discover the best terrain and snow conditions in Niseko. Unlike many guiding companies, all of our guides are also certified instructors, meaning they can provide technical coaching whenever needed—not just show you around the mountain.
Why choose a private lesson instead of a group lesson?
Your lesson is completely tailored to you.
Private lessons allow you to progress faster, choose your own pace, avoid waiting for other guests, and enjoy a fully personalised experience with one dedicated instructor.
How many people can join one lesson?
Each private lesson accommodates up to 4 guests of a similar ability level.
If your group has significantly different abilities, we may recommend separate instructors so everyone gets the most from their day.
Can children join?
Yes.
We teach:
- Ski: from 3 years old
- Snowboard: generally from 5 years old
For young children and first-time skiers, we recommend one instructor per child for the best learning experience.
Can adults and children learn together?
Yes, if everyone has a similar ability level and learning pace.
For families with young children or mixed abilities, separate instructors often provide a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
How is my ski or snowboard level determined?
We’ll ask a few questions during booking about your previous experience and goals.
Your instructor may also adjust the lesson plan on the day depending on your confidence, weather, and snow conditions.
